Dreary winter weather means your kids are inevitably spending more time inside and less time outdoors.
If they’re starting to feel cooped up, have them channel their extra energy into one of the Milwaukee-area’s many fun arts and crafts events. Here’s a look at a few upcoming classes in and around Brew City.
Be a Maker
From 5 to 8 p.m. every third Thursday of the month, your little ones can team up to build components for a large-scale collaborative sculpture. Mentors from the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum and Milwaukee Makerspace will introduce your kids to tools, materials, and techniques. Visit bbcmkids.org for more information.
Visit Discovery World on Feb. 7 to make your own Valentine’s cards in a hands-on printing experience inside the Bill Brady Intelligent Lab. The class is family-friendly, and the recommended age is 8 or older. For more information, visit Discovery World’s Facebook page.
